Two CDs containing four albums dating from 1974 - 1977 from the imperious Johnny Mathis, all originally released on Columbia. All four made the US Top 100 Albums chart, whilst in the UK three were Top 40 albums. The single 'When A Child Is Born' (from 'I Only Have Eyes For You') was a Christmas No. 1. To say that Mathis has had a long and distinguished career is something of an understatement, but this consummate professional deserves all the success, awards and plaudits that have come his way. Digitally remastered and slipcased, and with extensive new notes by Charles Waring.
